BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas -- For the third time in the last four years, the Concordia Texas men's basketball team won its 10th home contest in a season Saturday with a 102-82 victory over McMurry to cap the regular season.
Demarco Richardson carried the Tornados' (15-10) offense with 27 points.
Donovan Ford added 18 points in his first start of the 2015-16 campaign. Richardson fell a rebound shy of a double-double but still led CTX with nine boards.
Joe Neal dished out nine assists.
Concordia led wire-to-wire in the contest and led by double-digits for 32 of the game's 40 minutes. The Tornados scored 37 points off of 26 McMurry turnovers.
The War Hawks (3-22) attempted 49 3-pointers, sinking 15. McMurry only had eight field goals on 20 attempts from inside the arc. Meanwhile, CTX was 35-of-74 from the floor overall and 9-of-22 from long range.
The Tornados travel to Alpine, Texas, Thursday when they have the honor of kicking off the 2016 ASC Tournament. They'll take on Louisiana College with tip-off set for 12:30 p.m.
