BOX SCORE AUSTIN, Texas - The Concordia men's basketball team made it a four-point game late but ultimately dropped one against Mary Hardin-Baylor 96-90 on Saturday afternoon.

Ephriam Price scored over 20 or more points for the fourth straight game as he led the Tornados with 21 points, while
Chase Brooks had a career-high 18 points and nine rebounds off the bench. Three other players scored in double figures as
Joe Neal,
Joshua Samuels and
Philip Meikle had 14, 12 and 10 points respectively. CTX were unable to knock down shots from behind the arc as they shot 4-26 from three, while the Cru made 10 threes for the game.

The first half was a tight contest between the Tornados and UMHB as it was tied at 16-16 with 12:13 left. A pair of free-throws by
Rashad Coleman gave CTX a 22-21 lead with 9:55 left as the lead would change 10 times in the first half alone. Tied at 27 all, the Cru would take their biggest lead of the first half with an 11-0 run and led 38-27 with 4:09 left. At the half, the Tornados trailed 38-47, as they gave up 14 points off their turnovers and were outscored 15-8 on second-chance points.

In the second half, a Samuels three cut the lead to three at 52-49 with 17:09 left. But UMHB responded with a 6-0 run to push the deficit back to nine. Once again, the CTX cut the deficit to 58-55, but the Cru responded with an 8-0 run to take their biggest lead of the game at 66-55 with 11:59 left. The Tornados continued to battle and were down 85-80 after a pair of free-throws by Brooks with 3:42. A layup by Brooks with nine seconds left made it a four-point game, but time ran out for CTX as they lost 96-90.

The loss ended three straight wins by the Tornados as they next head to Alpine, Texas, to face Sul Ross State on Jan. 19 at 7:30 p.m.
