BOX SCORE RICHARDSON, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's soccer team saw their seven game unbeaten streak come to an end Saturday with a 3-0 loss to UT Dallas at UTD Soccer Field.
The Tornados fall to 7-3-1, 6-1-0 in the American Southwest Conference with the loss and are currently in second place in the ASC standings.
The Comets got the scoring started in the 19th minute on a header off of a corner kick.
Just four minutes later, lightning in the area put the match into a weather delay, which lasted nearly two hours.
Neither team was able to score again in the first half, giving UTD a 1-0 lead at the break.
In the 71st minute, the Comets struck again on a breakaway goal by Jorden Henderson to extend the lead to 2-0.
UTD added their third goal in the 85th minute to seal the victory and remain unbeaten in ASC play.
As a team, CTX took six shots, three of which were on goal. Goalkeeper
Rob Oakley also racked up five saves in the loss.
The Tornados will look to bounce back next Saturday when they travel to Belton, Texas to take on Mary Hardin-Baylor at 7:30 p.m.
