ALPINE, Texas – The Concordia Texas men's basketball heads to the American Southwest Conference Tournament for the 11th time in the last 12 seasons, taking on UT Dallas on Thursday.
The Tornados finished the regular season 15-10, 9-8 ASC and earned the three seed in the West Division. They will take on the two-seeded UT Dallas from the East Division on Thursday at 5 p.m. in the quarterfinals.
Sul Ross State will host the conference tournament in Alpine, Texas inside the Gallego Center after finishing atop the West Division.

Stan Bonewitz believes his team is ready heading into the tournament.
"We are excited about the opportunity to continue our season," Bonewitz said. "There are four seasons that we talk about as a program that we want to participate in and this is now the start of the third."
Concordia Texas faced the Comets on Jan. 22, suffering a 101-100 setback inside Concordia Fieldhouse.
Ephriam Price III had a career-high 36 points while also becoming the 15
th player in program history to reach 1000 points.
The Tornados will rely on Price III, who is the team's leading scorer averaging 19 points a game, as well as
Ben Page, who has recorded four double-doubles in his last seven games and is averaging 14.2 points and seven rebounds a game on the season.
Page is also two points away from reaching the 1000-point plateau. He would become the third men's player this season and 17
th player in program history to join the 1000-point club, joining Price III and
Joe Neal.
Ronnie Hamilton, at the point position, has scored in double figures in his last six games and dished out 10 assists twice, including a double-double in the team's 107-84 win over McMurry on Feb. 3.
Concordia Texas will look to return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2013 when they take on UT Dallas on Thursday with the winner continuing on to the semifinals on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
"We know that we have to continue to improve," Bonewitz said. "We are excited about having the opportunity to continue to do that."
