AUSTIN, Texas – Due to COVID-related concerns, the Concordia Texas men's basketball team has canceled its upcoming American Southwest Conference Tournament quarterfinal game against Mary Hardin-Baylor, announced by the program on Tuesday.

The Tornados were scheduled to go on the road to face the Cru in the first round of the ASC Tournament on Wednesday, but due to recent COVID results, the game has been canceled.

The conference released the following statement:

Following COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the Wednesday ASC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament quarterfinal game between the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Concordia University Texas has been cancelled. UMHB will advance to the Sunday (March 14) semifinal round to play the winner of the UT Dallas vs. Louisiana College quarterfinal contest.

This concludes the season for CTX, who finished fourth in the ASC West Division, qualifying for their ninth straight ASC Tournament.
