BOX SCORE RICHARDSON, Texas - The Concordia Texas men's basketball team were defeated by a score of 107-74 at UT-Dallas. Jaylon Johnson led the Tornados with 17 points and six assists inside the UTD Activity Center on Thursday.
The Tornados led 17-16 midway through the first half, before the Comets gained a double-digit lead thanks to an 11-0 run. UTD's lead would grow to as much as 16 points as a three-pointer by Luis Gonzalez sparked an 8-2 burst to make it a 41-31 game heading into halftime.
Both teams traded baskets where Concordia cut the deficit to 63-57 at the 10:39 mark. The Comets then caught fire from the field, finishing the game on a 47-17 run to claim the victory.
Concordia Texas will remain on the road as they travel to Clarksville, Arkansas to take on the University of the Ozarks on January 7th. Tip off is set for 3:00 p.m.
