SUWANEE, Georgia - Concordia Texas junior third baseman
Jett Warner has been named the SCAC Hitter of the Week, the league's office announced on Monday. Warner (nine RBIs) notched a walk-off against Trinity and a grand-slam against the Ozarks.
Warner led Concordia Texas at the plate during a 4-0 week, delivering in key moments across multiple wins. Warner totaled nine RBIs on the week, including a pair of four-RBI performances.
The junior delivered in clutch fashion in Concordia's 1-0 10-inning win over Trinity, driving in the walk-off run. In a 13-3 game two win over Ozarks, he launched a grand slam for his first homer of the season. He followed that with another four-RBI performance in a 6-0 shutout victory, providing the bulk of the Tornados' scoring.
This marks the second time this season that a Tornado has been named the conference player of the week as Warner joins
Erich Glenewinkel from
earlier this season.
