Concordia University Texas senior Tyler Compton has been named the Taco Bell Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday.

Compton, a 5-foot-4 guard, scored 21 points in the Tornados women's basketball team's 69-63 loss to Texas Lutheran on Dec. 30. The Lafayette, La., native has scored in double digits in all eight of Concordia's games this season.
