SUWANEE, Georgia - Concordia Texas pitcher Erich Glenewinkel has been named the SCAC Pitcher of the Week, the league's office announced on Monday. Glenewinkel shined in his second career appearance last Saturday.

Glenewinkel helped Concordia Texas clinch a series victory over Schreiner in a 13-inning battle where CTX won 5-4. The freshman reliever entered the game in the sixth and kept the Tornados afloat by only allowing two hits and no earned runs allowed in 8.0 innings of action.

Glenewinkel and the Tornados' would only let one Mountaineer batter on base as he did not face any batters over the minimum in the final seven frames.

You can next see Glenewinkel and Concordia Texas in action this Tuesday, February 24th when they take on Southwestern University. First pitch is scheduled for 6pm.
