Melba Homer was a key player as a middle blocker during many of the volleyball program’s best years in school history. She was a four-year letterwinner from 1986-89.

Homer is on record for being Concordia’s all-time leader in kills by racking up 1,536 over the course of her career. She also ranks sixth all-time in career digs (1,124), seventh in blocks (220) and her .237 career hitting percentage is also among the best marks in program history.

Furthermore, Homer was named an NAIA and Russell Athletic All-America selection in 1989 after recording 464 kills on a school-record 1,264 attacks and leading the team to a 23-13 ledger. She was also honored as an all-region and all-district during her senior campaign.
