Shamika Singleton was a standout basketball player who etched her name into Concordia University's history with an impressive array of accomplishments. Known for her dominance on both ends of the court, Singleton ranks 5th all-time with an average of 8.0 rebounds per game and is tied for 6th all-time with 2.2 steals per game. Her defensive prowess is further showcased by her tie for 7th all-time in blocks, with an average of 0.6 per game.Â
A consistent offensive threat, Singleton also sits 4th all-time in field goal percentage at 49.0%, demonstrating her efficiency and scoring ability. She is tied for 3rd all-time with 14 career double-doubles and ranks 7th in RPG for a single season with 9.5 rebounds during the 2010-11 campaign. Her 9 double-doubles that same season also placed her 3rd in school history.Â
In the 2010-11 season, Singleton was recognized as the ASC West Division Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, earning a spot on the West Division First Team. In 2011, she was honored as Concordia Texas Player of the Year, cementing her legacy as one of the program's greatest players.Â
